BSL supports Gladstone Men's Shed
This week BSL provided a welcome gift of quality tools to the Gladstone Men’s Shed.
BSL donated four near-new metal fabrication grinders, with a total value of over $1000, following the completion of a recent project at the smelter’s Fabrication Workshop.
Whilst enjoying midmorning tea and a chat with members of The Gladstone Men’s Shed, BSL representatives presented the equipment to Men’s Shed President Gerry Graham, Co-ordinators Dave Moore and Ron Jackson, as well as a number of other members at their local workshop.
BSL General Manager, Joe Rea said that it was really satisfying to know that these tools would be put to good use to assist a non-profit organisation carry out important community functions.
“It was a pleasure to witness the obvious camaraderie and enthusiasm of the members of the Men’s Shed and they should all be congratulated on their commitment to sharing their skills and knowledge on projects that improve our community,” Mr Rea said.
Gladstone Men’s Shed is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a positive working environment where men from this community can gather and support each other, and also where they can generate resources for early childhood education and other community groups in the Gladstone region.
